Student Teaching
Junior Year Placement
My student teaching experience provided me with opportunities to take on the full responsibilities of the classroom while developing my instructional, classroom management, and collaboration skills. I planned and implemented lessons across multiple subject areas, used assessment data to guide instruction, differentiated learning experiences to meet diverse student needs, and built meaningful relationships with students, families, and faculty. Through reflection and hands-on experience, I strengthened my ability to create engaging, student-centered learning environments that encourage academic growth and personal confidence.

Lesson Planning
My lesson planning focuses on creating student-centered learning experiences that combine creativity, collaboration, and meaningful instruction. I strive to design lessons that are differentiated, hands-on, and responsive to student needs.
Kindergarten Tutoring
During my student teaching experience at Lakeview Primary School, I planned and implemented weekly literacy tutoring lessons for a kindergarten student. I conducted pre-assessments and post-assessments to monitor growth, identify student needs, and guide instructional decisions. Using assessment data, I designed targeted interventions and engaging, hands-on activities that supported the development of foundational literacy skills. Through interactive, hand-on instruction, I helped build the student’s phonics foundation. This experience strengthened my ability to create meaningful, data-driven instruction tailored to individual learners.
Mini-Unit
During my student teaching experience at Lakeview Academy, I designed and implemented a five-lesson integrated History and English Language Arts mini unit focused on the American Revolution for a fourth-grade classroom. Each lesson intentionally promoted creativity through multiple forms of expression, encouraging students to actively engage with historical content in meaningful ways. Throughout the unit, I planned lessons, documented student learning, and reflected on instructional effectiveness to improve future teaching practices. I also incorporated scaffolding strategies to support ESL students and ensure all learners could successfully participate in discussions, writing activities, and collaborative projects.
